Capcom has just unveiled the latest trailer for "Monster Hunter 4." And it looks to be the greatest thing ever, at least to those into Monster Hunter. Unfortunately, the game is still only slated for Japan. Which is just as well, since that's apparently where all its fan are located.
The following demonstrates that, even for games that are on a tiny screen, things can be quite epic and grandiose:
"Monster Hunter 4" was revealed some time ago, but at the moment, it's only for the Japanese audience. But the thing is, there are fans of the franchise here in America, as well as other parts of the world. Who are all frustrated and worried about the completely lack of chatter as it pertains to an international release.
Unfortunately, such a move is somewhat understandable, given that Monster Hunter has never really caught outside of its homeland, despite numerous Western releases and various efforts to drum up excitement.
Monster Hunter's popularity is so strong that many credit it for being the primary reason why the PSP did so well in Japan. Which is another thing that didn't exactly catch on here in the States.
Various installments have made it out here, on hardware that actually has done well, but the finer details have never matched up. Then again, it?s hard to imagine the Wii version doing that well, though it difficult to find info pertaining to how popular online gaming for that system is in the East.
There is some fear that Capcom might have officially given up on Monster Hunter in the West. Let's hope that they at least give part 4 one last shot.
